baby shower x2

My sweet moms from my 4th grade class threw me the most amazing baby shower at school. What a blessed mama I am. I was able to hug on my sweet kiddos and was literally showered with love!!

Then I my sweet friends threw me a shower as well this weekend. I am blessed to have so many friends that love this baby already!!! Now if I can keep her cooking a bit longer...... we are ready for her!

bed rest......... again

I am 35 weeks and last week the doc put me on bedrest. The last month or so I have been having contractions, nothing regular, but contractions. Mostly during the day while at work or when I tend to over do it. The doctor checked me a few weeks agao and there was no cervical change. He did put me on progesterone shots to slow contrax. Well last week I was checked and dilated to 2 and 75% effaced...... So bed rest for 3 weeks to keep baby in until 38 weeks. This of course happened when Craig was in Brazil for a week.... ugh.... It was very upsetting to me to come this far in my pregnancy and then at the end get put on bedrest. I was on bed rest with Landon for 2 months, but was fine with Pressley. It is also the last 2 weeks of school and having to miss that is heartbreaking. That was the hardest part for me :(

So here I lay... bored out of my mind. I am grading, writing thank you notes, nesting from afar (shopping online). I am still having contrax and they are painful now, but nothing regular. My kiddos are not sure what to think and have been extra sensitive lately. Now that Craig is back from Brazil, he has been a HUGE help. He has been working from home and has been watching me like a hawk. He told me yesterday, if I don't stay in bed he is calling doc and they will put me in hospital. So,in,bed,i,stay,

Hello 3rd trimester

How far along? Channing and I are starting our 29th week together.
Heartbeat? 142bpm
Total weight gain/loss: Yeah right. I'm not falling for this one. 20 lbs...
Maternity clothes? of course... I refuse to buy anymore clothes, since this WILL be my last. I have bought some regular flowy clothes.... I will buy 1 dress for an upcoming wedding, but that is it!
Stretch marks? No, using my awesome lotion that has kept them away the last 2 times, hopes it still works!
Weird Things Pregnancy Does to My Body: My last 2 babies were in my 20s and this pregnancy is kicking my booty. I am so sore and worn out at the end of the day.
Sleep? barely- I need a TON of pillows and I wake a gazillion times.
Best moment this week: Finishing Channing's Palace. Pictures to come after we hang the curtains this weekend and finish hanging a few things on the wall.
Movement: Channing is quite the mover and shaker, she FINALLY moved for Craig. She moves for everyone else, but has been quite stubborn in moving for Craig.
Food cravings: LOVE CrawfishI can't get enough of ice cold milk. I just took my glucose test and am praying I do not have GD this time (had it the last 2 times). This mama LOVES her food and does not want to give it up.
Gender: I love how pink is my world. We are taking Pressley's bows that are small and gifting them to Channing- she has quite the collection.
Labor Signs: Not yet, but I'm not slowing down enough to notice any.
Belly Button in or out? Pop goes the weasel.
What I miss: oh where do I start??? Looking forward to NOT being pregnant this summer!
What I am looking forward to: Finishing my list to do's before Princess arrives. Between baseball season for Landon, Softball & cheer for Pressley, and teaching full time.... I am SOOOOO worn out and am trying to just make it through the day. I did Paint the letters for Channing's wall and am so excited it is all coming together.
Milestones: Channing is now the size of a cabbage and weighs in at almost 3 pounds!

update...

WOW!!!! It has been quite a while since and update! I have since gone back to work teaching. I LOVE my new job. I am teaching at a private chistian school, Cypress Christian School. I love the school, teachers, and kids. It is such an amazing school, I love the christian environment. Landon turned 7 and Pressley turned 5. Press is cheering and loving it on denim at Prodigy. Landon finished football and has started basketball. He loves all sports and has come so far. God has decided to bless us with a baby due in June. While this was not in our plans, we are grateful for God's gifts.

ahhhh.......
life of a stay at home mom! Nothing to crazy to update, other than I am trying desperately to go back to work! Turns out I am rather lazy as a stay at home mom and I am a much better mom when I am working. I really miss my classroom, and the sweet faces, the love of books, the learning..... I could go on... and on.... and on.... Also, me staying at home might literally give my sweet husband an early death. Money is tight, and the stress is high.

So I have started my own side business of making pokerchip necklaces and picture frames. Both are going very well and I am really enjoying 'my creative side'. :) Check out my site on facebook..... 'pretty pigtail things' and become a a fan, or check out www.prettypigtailthings.com .

We are good! Landon is reading really well (already starting chapter books) and is loving baseball (1st year of coach pitch). Pressley just finished up her year of cheer at Prodigy and is excited about another year. She is very excited her friend will join her in denim this year!

We were so blessed with our recent trip to Australia for 3 weeks to visit family. The kids were in heaven and were so excited to play with the cousins- they have 5 cousins to play with there. They are all similar ages. It was amazing and I am really missing my sweet mother-in-law and amazing sisters there. I really wish we lived closer to family.

LOve everyone!
