March MADNESS

Okay- I LOVE sports!!! I have loved college football for many, many years. I love something about the excitement, competition, the sweat of sports. LOVE it!!! Almost to the point of insanity!!! So every March is make a bracket for college basketball playoffs..... I spend HOURS doing this. I read every article written, I looks at stats, coaches, and rosters... I basically DORK out!!! I love the excitement of the games and love to 'guess' at a bracket. Well this year I have actually been at the top of my bracket. But.... uh oh... the other 25 men in the league DO NOT like this... I mean OH NO.... a girl might be beating them???

-Well, Craig must have made all her picks right? WRONG... he was out of town, unable to even confer with!
-lucky guesses??? Wrong, I know my stuff and I spent alot of time educating myself!

So now.... let us hope that Memphis can beat Missouri... not looking good. being a super girly girl, I am going to go to bed and hope for the best. I simply cannot stand to watch the torture of memphis being beat!

Spring Break

Today is the last day of Spring Break. It was so nice to have a leisurely week where we just relaxed and I spent time with kids! My mom came to visit over spring break. She drove down with her new boyfriend Jim. He is a super nice guy and seems to really make my mom happy. The kids were delighted with my mom and Jim and enjoyed the grandparently attention. We ate mexican food, planted in the yard, went to the rodeo, and enjoyed each others company. They drove back and headed through Trinity, Texas to visit my grandparents old ranch (they passed a few years ago). It was such a special place growing up for my family. We spent every holiday, summers, and many a weekend on that ranch. They had cows, barns, pastures, fishing holes, rivers, streams, and Lake Livingston. Mom said it has all been bought out by a local housing development and everything is being torn down. I am glad that my last memories are of the ranch as I remember it.....
